SEO, GEO and local visibility advice

Three practical starting points: understand your pages, clarify your local offer and measure enquiries. Start with the topic that matches your needs.

SEO and GEO: start with sound foundations

Understand what your website can reveal and what a score cannot prove.

01

Give each page a clear purpose

A service page explains an offer and helps visitors decide. An advice page answers a question. Before writing, identify the need, the page that already addresses it and the useful next action. Avoid publishing several nearly identical pages.

02

Start with observed searches

Review queries and pages in Search Console over comparable periods. More impressions without clicks call for a closer look at positions and search intent. This alone does not prove that a title is poor or that all content needs rewriting.

03

Interpret diagnostics carefully

A scan can identify technical and structural elements. Its score does not demonstrate that AI assistants cite your business. Keep verifiable findings, then assess their importance for visitors and business goals.

Local visibility: make your offer clear

Connect your services and actual service area to customer needs.

01

Explain your business clearly

State what you do, who you serve and where you work. A business in Mirabel should quickly understand whether your offer fits its needs. Use verifiable projects rather than broad promises.

02

Improve before multiplying pages

If an existing page already answers the need, improve it first. A new local page should add specific value through a service, customer questions or project context. Changing only the city name does not provide that value.

03

Make the next step useful

Explain what visitors can share: their website, business, service area and goal. Make the contact button visible on mobile and check its destination. Clear enquiries make it easier to prepare an appropriate quote.

Measure enquiries, not just visits

Choose indicators that represent actual steps in the customer journey.

01

Separate the steps

For a diagnostic tool, distinguish a started scan, a completed scan, a failure and an accepted report request. Clicking Send on a form does not prove that the server accepted the request.

02

Verify tracking end to end

Check website behaviour and then event reception in your analytics tool. An event in the source code does not prove its arrival in GA4. Check for duplicates and avoid sending email addresses in analytics events.

03

Connect numbers to contact quality

A report request is not necessarily a quote request. Compare periods, channels and pages, then add commercial feedback: actual need, service area and next steps. With small volumes, review counts as well as percentages.
